    MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!
    (5 A Side Football)
    On Monday 15th October 2012 we will commence our new summer season with a new venture. We will be providing 5 a side football comps on the new KIKOFF Fraser Park 5G  all weather courts. 
    We have booked all 3 courts from 5pm till 10pm, with the possibility of playing later if the demand is there. The first timeslot at 5pm will be for U8, then U10,U12,U14, and finally U16 is the final junior age group (Juniors up to U12 will be mixed). Then seniors will commence with AA comps and O35. All of the above comps are to be determined by interest.
    The comps will run for 10 weeks until Monday 17th December 2012, we are planning on 6 team comps with each team playing each other twice in a EPL style whereby the ladder leader after 10 rounds will be the winner of the comp. You will need to register a minimum of 7 players and the normal $200 team nomination fee applies, junior player fees will be $140 and seniors $180, including a full strip for each player.

    SIX A SIDE COMPS!
    Will be held as per normal on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with all the normal procedures applying, with the fees the same as last year, as per the table below. Tuesdays will take the place of Monday's format that we have been running for the last few years, with junior boys first then senior mens. The comp will start on Tuesday 23rd October 2012 until Thursday 13th December 2012, with a Christmas break after that. We will recommence on Tuesday 22nd January 2013 until Thursday 28th February 2013, with our finals day on Sunday 3rd March 2013.

    As we appreciate that times are tough we have left our fees as they we're last year, making it even more value for money !
    If you read the Match/Fees Table below you will be able to determine the costs you have to pay to play. Please remember that these fees are all inclusive, providing you with a full uniform, referees fees, affiliation fees and insurance fees are all catered for. There are no hidden costs.

    NEW CANTERBURY SOCCER SIXES SEASON IS HERE!

    Welcome everybody who is about to participate in our 9th season of Canterbury Soccer Sixes. If you have played in the past you will be excited by some new developments. If this is going to be your 'first taste' I hope you will enjoy it. 

    Here are "Ten Good Reasons" to play Canterbury Soccer Sixes:

    Canterbury Soccer Sixes

    Welcome to the 9th season of Canterbury Soccer Sixes 'Six-a-Side' football to be played during the summer months.
    It is a unique experience for the young and the young at heart to play on a mini field with mini goal posts.
    Come join the fun for all the family and enjoy those warm summer months outdoors together.

      Please read the Rules of Play below

    • IMPORTANT:
      Could all team manager/coaches make sure that your spectators remain outside the field of play at all times while the games are in progress. No spectators are allowed on the playing field under any circumstances. This is standard practice at all grounds within both the district and around the state.
    • Please check individual draws from the navigation menu above for specific details of your competition. This will be available once all registrations are finalised.
     

    Competition Dates
    The 5 a side season commences Monday 15th October 2012 and continues until Monday 17th December 2012. The 6 a side season commences Tuesday 23rd October 2012  until Thursday 13th December 2012 
    followed by the Christmas break. The second half of the competition will commence on Tuesday 22nd January 2013 through until Thursday 28th February 2013 followed by the Finals Gala Day on Sunday 3rd March 2013.

    The venue is  Fraser Park, Marrickville Road, Marrickville .
    Facilities include change rooms, toilets, canteen with a wide range of food and beverages, BBQ and seating area.

      Rules of Play (6 A Side)

    >Six a side including the goalkeeper

    >15 minutes for junior teams, 20 minutes for seniors [Ladies, Men, O35] per half

    >No slide tackles. If you make a slide tackle 1st tackle will be a yellow card then a 2nd slide tackle by the same player will warrant a 2nd yellow card, thus a red card.

    >Corner kicks you may score directly from.

    >All defending players must stand 5 mtrs from the ball for any restart of play.

    >No offside.

    >Kick-ins [No throw-ins].

    >Unlimited interchange.

    >Mini goals - 5 mtrs x 1.8 mtrs

    >All free kicks are indirect.

    >A restart from a goal kick (by a Goalkeeper or Field Player) must not cross the half way line on the full. If the ball lands in the opposition half, a free kick will be awarded to the opposing team from the half way line.

    >The Goalkeeper must not throw or kick from his/her hands over the half way line on the full. If the ball lands in the opposition half, a free kick will be awarded to the opposing team from the half way line.

    >Field dimensions: 40 mtrs x 25 mtrs.

    *All teams will need to provide their own match balls.

    *All of the competitions where possible, will consist of 8 teams with
    4 matches per division played concurrently, in the same time slot and day every week. Please note that days and timeslots are indicative only and are sublect to change prior to the comp commencing.

    * Registration is all inclusive and pays for match fees, referee fees, team wear [numbered shirt, shorts & socks]. No goalkeeper jersey will be provided. 14 games played per season plus the finals.

    Please note: This format is indicative only and could change depending on having sufficient nominations per age group. If there are insufficient numbers of teams to form individual age groups for juniors, they could be combined, ie. Under 7/8 and Under 9/10. If this arises or any other circumstances at my discretion, please be aware that timeslots and the day that is shown may change.

      

    A surcharge of $20 will apply if a senior player did not play in 2012 Winter season.

    Team Nomination
    Be quick and organise your friends into a team fast! Remember there are only ten teams per division. You need a minimum of eight players and a maximum of 10 per team. Should you not have sufficient numbers to form a team, we might be able to help. Please note if you do not register 8 players you will still be required to pay for 8 players.
